Background information
On September 11, 2001 the first plane, a American Airlines Boeing 767 crashed into the north tower of the World Trade in New York City at 8:45 am. This jet was loaded with 20,000 gallons of fuel. The plane made a gaping hole in the 80th floor. A second Boeing 767 hit the south tower on the 60th floor eighteen minutes after the first plane.
During all the trajedy happening in New York another plane was heading for the Pentagon in Washington D.C. This American Airlines Flight 77 hit the west side of the Pentagon at 9:45 am. At 10:30 am the north tower collapsed and the south tower collapsed at 10:00 am.
Another plane was heading from Newark to California was hijacked, but the passengers knew about the hijackings of the others planes via cell phone. The passengers knew they were going to die so they attacked the four hijackers and then the plane crashed into an open field in western Pennsylvania. The intended target of this plane is unknown, but was thought to be headed towards the white house.
